Burnley Golf Club probably ranks amongst the top five favourite courses of most golfers connected to the East Lancashire Golf Association. Those who visit always make a vow to return. It is a James Braid designed course which weaves across the West Pennine Moors making excellent use of the contours of the land. Founded in 1905 as a nine-hole course Glen View was lengthened to 18 holes in 1914. In the years since then the course has been continually improved as has the clubhouse itself making available modern facilities to members and visitors alike.
